The last few weeks have just felt so drawn out. I really just want to be on the plane heading to Paris. There’s still a bit to do at work before I can relax though. Outside work things are looking good. A few more internal European flights would be good to have locked in over the next few days would make me feel a lot better.
The weekend at Bermagui with Paul and Mark was what I needed although a tiny calf twinge from the morning’s run put a bit of a dampener on things for me. Same old thing. Not enough to stop me running but a reminder that this thing may never disappear. Nevertheless still have a great time down here and would love to have a weekender. That’s another goal to shoot for I reckon. A weekender at Bermagui by 40 years of age. Well on Monday that will only be 3 years away when I turn 37.
Haven’t thought about birthdays too much but this one is hitting home how quick things are moving. Ferris Bueller said ‘Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it’. The last two years were about this very thing. Looking around. Mostly to replace running and not competing. I hope that swings back in the right direction soon.
