Loz and Mel are both third fastest so far. That put Loz into the final and she will be amongst the medals. She is in great shape although maybe too good yesterday as she ran pretty close to the first few hurdles. If she gets it right in the final its sub 56s.
Mel looked great in the opening heat of the 100m. She ran 11.53 and was pretty smooth after an OK start where she popped up a little. Still third fastest to the semis and will be right in it. The Lithuanian girl who went season’s best 11.48? seems to be the one to beat.
Caught up with Matty late on Monday night after I got my accreditatio. It was good to see a familiar face again even if it was only a few days on my own in Oslo.
Loz and Mels parents are here as well and I had lunch with them yesterday. It feels like a meet in Australia there’s so many friends here.
Doing the daily report yesterday was fun. Did some interviews with Pape and Wroe. They are pretty relaxed guys so makes it easy to find out how they went.
So start of day 2 now and BJ and Tristan are up in the mens 400m hurdles. Haven’t caught up with BJ since Belgium so it will be good to see him again.
