Managing the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) European Training Centre in Varese, Italy, was more than just a job—it was about creating a high-performance home-away-from-home in the heart of Europe. As Centre Manager, my mission was to ensure that when our Australian Olympic teams landed in Italy, they had every tool necessary to turn years of training into podium finishes.
