It was a moment we won’t forget in a hurry. Jared Tallent had just been upgraded to a gold medal after one of his competitors subsequently returned a positive test. We had dinner to celebrate and couldn’t wait for an official to make it right so we had an impromptu medal ceremony to share with friends. We posted it online and went to bed.
We woke up in the morning to a media storm and the backyard video became a viral sensation. There were phone calls from CBN, global headlines and interviews with Australian media.
It was great to see Jared get his moment in the sun.
